The Challenge

Bringing Kitsumon’s vision to life required integrating multiple complex systems: a dynamic 3D NFT breeding mechanism, a marketplace on Polygon, staking/farming smart contracts, and a fully functional MOBA game built in Unity. The challenge lay in ensuring seamless user experiences across all facets of this ambitious ecosystem.

The Brief

Kitsumon needed to create an engaging and sustainable ecosystem where users could own, breed, and evolve unique NFTs. The solution demanded a robust infrastructure to support NFT sales, in-game usage, and advanced DeFi functionalities.

Our Approach

We developed the platform on the Polygon chain to ensure scalability and low transaction costs. A custom set of smart contracts (covering NFT minting, breeding, staking, and vesting) governed the core functionalities. We also built a React-based frontend and utilized Python to integrate with Blender, automating the generation of new 3D Kitsus upon successful breeding events.

The Result

The final product is an end-to-end blockchain gaming environment. Players can collect Kitsus, stake tokens to earn rewards, breed existing NFTs to unlock new 3D models, and battle in a MOBA setting built with Unity. Kitsumon’s user base grew rapidly, thanks to its unique gameplay elements and DeFi rewards, solidifying its position as a pioneer in the NFT gaming space.
